Hi

if you dont mind i would like to offer a little advice for people who want to grow pumpkins. in my time growing pumpkins i found that adding plenty of humus to the soil really helps the pumpkin to grow into a healthy plant and create healthy pumpkins in return. when im talking about humus i mean adding manure, home made compost or any left over multipurpose compost you have left from any container or trays that you have been growing plants or seeds in. mix that into your soil that you are going to plant your pumpkin in, then you should have good results especialy if you feed it now again and give it plenty of water and sun light.  Wink

thanks.

Allso if you have a fresh pile of manure make a small hole fill with soil or compost and plant a pumpkin plant in that. As the manure is rotting over summer the pumpkin is taking all the warmth and moisture it need to create a massive pumpkin.
